My screen just flashes and the exact same screen appears. The .period .at .the .beginning is required. The question is, why does overlay cause it to break. Save and exit. http://sevevb.com/clean-url/drupal-urls-not-working.html

When using an Alias, if your site URL looks like this: http://example.com/YourAliasName/ Then you must change the last line as stated above, like this: RewriteBase /YourAliasName 2. In some configurations, setting RewriteBase / will allow clean URLs to work. $base_url You may need to manually set the $base_url variable in the settings.php file if not already set. Keep in mind that enabling rewrite logging adds somewhat to server load, and can easily generate large amounts of output not needed on a production server.
