We have an mapped drive that is dfs and the computers get kicked back to my computer or the drive disappears briefly then reappears. I have also turned off IPV6 on some machines as suggested somewhere else but issue remains. For testing try everyone. Source

We have not had this issue for a few months now that I turned off the Antivirus. This seems to resolve it. The network is DNS only - no WINS. It'll do a DNS lookup and might get any of the IPs (unless you've configured DNS to be site-aware, but that's a different topic.)
